ComicsAlliance vs. Wonder Woman’s New Costume

Wonder Woman’s new costume is pretty big news — it made the New York Times, and that hasn’t happened since at least Solomon Stone #2 — so ComicsAlliance is marking the occasion with a massive roundtable where we take a look at Wonder Woman’s costumes past, present and future!

Plus, I got to make maybe my fourth favorite picture I’ve ever made for the site:

The Top 5 Episodes of Batman Beyond

I can make animated .gifs now. Ho ho ho.

Anyway, if there’s one thing I know about the Internet, it’s that it loves Top X lists, which is why today, I’m celebrating Batman Beyond by recapping the top five episodes!

I love the show, but man, watching it all back-to-back-to-back-to-back this past week, I was reminded that it is a pretty dang dark show. But also pretty great.

The Worst of Netflix: The Minx

Well, it ain’t Sorority Girls’ Revenge, so that’s a plus:

In the grand tradition of no-budget movies everywhere, the makers of The Minx decided to pad out their film’s soundtrack with the royalty-free songs of the public domain, in this case opting for Irish folk songs. Specifically, they lead with “I’m a Man You Don’t Meet Every Day,” which, like a lot of people, I’m mostly familiar with from its appearance on a Pogues album whose name describes three activities that are much more fun than watching this thing: Rum, Sodomy and the Lash.

ComicsAlliance Presents the 20 Best Superman Panels of All Time (This Week)

To celebrate Batman #700, I posted up 18 of my favorite Batman panels, and with Superman #700 hitting the shelves last week, the Man of Steel gets his turn with 20 of my favorite Superman panels!

This one was a little harder to put together than the Batman one. I mean, Superman actually is one of my favorite characters, but I don’t have the immediate depth of knowledge for him that I do for Batman. Then again, I don’t have the immediate depth of knowledge for my own family that I do of Batman, so that’s probably to be expected.

Also, it was tough to not just do any 20 panels from All Star Superman and call it a day.

Also, I rarely say this, but feel free to suggest your own. Maybe we’ll do a follow-up with reader suggestions to go along with it!
