Friday Night Fights: Yeah You Know Me!

Tonight, Friday Night Fights returns with an all-new theme, and this time, it’s been declared that brevity is the soul of a beatdown! That’s why this time, it all comes down to One Panel of Pain!

So let me ask.. you down with O.P.P?

For more of Jim Rugg’s totally awesome Street Angel, pick up the trade or check out the trailer for the surprisingly totally awesome Australian independent short film!

  1. Man I love Street Angel so so much; it’s maybe in my top five fave comics of all time.

I wish there was more of it/Jim Rugg’s work in general.

  2. I posted this in Comic Pants, but man, wouldn’t it be awesome if the Scott Pilgrim movie was made akin to that Street Angel indie film!

  3. Street Angel is one of the greatest things in my life. One of my buddies showed me some original art he has from the series earlier today and I almost stabbed him in the eye with his cat so I could run away with it.

  4. Damn! My eyes weren’t ready for such awesomeness.

So Street Angel is the best comic ever for you this week. Any thoughts on what will take the spot next week?

  5. He could have been asleep. That would have been less enthused. Also, and I say this in a completely hetero way, he’s not a bad looking man at all. Furthermore, I should get around to buying that trade one of these days.

  6. The comic is so awesome that it probably sucked all the joy out of his life leaving him as we see it on the picture, a hollow shell of a man.

Or maybe with was just Chris’s Roger Ebert impression. Just kiddin’

  7. A question for my wiser brethren about Street Angel. I have something like an ashcan of Street Angel but it lists Dick Troutman and Brian Maruca as creators, not Jim Rugg. Is Troutman a Rugg alias? And does anybody know about this Street Angel version from Aweful Books?

    Thanks in advance!
