Is that a meat tenderizer on the floor or did Namor throw Dr. Don Blake at Hulk earlier?
Geez, it almost looks like Hulk punched the butcher’s arm off.
That was a great season of TOP CHEF.
Until I scrolled down I thought for a moment it would be Hulk Vs. Nomad. Which would have been a pretty short fight…
That guy complaining looks a lot like Alfred the Butler. How did he get in the middle of this fight?
Also, the hammer next to Alfred’s hand leads me to believe Namor may have tossed Thor at the Hulk earlier. No wonder Hulk is losing it. Fight fair Submariner!
I think it looks more like a young Chef Boyardee.
I love how indignant the gentleman on the bottom of the heap is. He thought they’d just waltz in and smack the guy over the head with a butcher knife and a hammer, and waltz back out again.

70′s Marvel B&W Magazines did indeed rule…and since they were geared to be more “adult” I am thinking yon gentleman is turned on.
Remembering the infamous “shower scene” in the B&W Hulk magazine, one wonders if said gentleman is supposed to represent Jim Shooter.

Keith Pollard, as mentioned in the fine print of the post itself. I’m not sure if it was just a different editorial style or more lead time or not being subject to the lousy coloring processes of the main books or what, but often, those old black and white Marvel Mags were a full step above the comics in terms of art, even when they were by the same guys. I mean, Ernie Chan for instance is a great artist, but in his Savage Sword of Conan stories, he’s just flat-out amazing.
thanks, I saw the fine print, but since Im a noob at this didn’t knew if Keith Pollard or Doug Moench was the artist. Definitely will search for this(now to see if the only comic shop in the city has something decent)
I just read this issue for the first time last night,believe it or not.
Spuky-I have this as part of a big phone book style “Essentials” collection,I bought it at a Borders for under 20 bucks.
Definately recomended if you like Hulk and the classic X-Men and Avengers and soforth.
