Thanks for this! I’ve never heard of this song before, and I quickly got over my sadness at Belinda Carslile not being involved, as this song is heartwarming, yet creepy. Just like Christmas itself.
I have never heard this song before.
And I’m not sure I have now–it could be a hallucination brought on by eggnog that’s gone off.
In case it’s not a hallucination, thanks.
I love this song! This is on my Christmas CD for the year that I’m sending out with cards. It will confuse everyone who thinks Belinda Carlisle and (swoon) Jane Wiedlin might be singing it, though.
Got a typo there in the post’s title, my good man.
Is it weird that I think that’s wrong? I mean, Daleks are basically outer space Nazis. It’s like hugging Hitler.
Crikey.
I’m at least 99% certain that the events in this song are not canonical in the Whoniverse.
Am also upset that, at the end, the Dalek did not demand that they order it to self-exterminate like in the Christopher Eccleston episode.
Now we need a duet with K-9. You know you’d buy that album.
