Those of you who pay attention to these things might’ve been wondering where we were going with the whole “Yearbook Week” thing that I set up earlier this week, and, well, now you know, because today at ComicsAlliance, it’s the first of three installments of The ComicsAlliance 2009-2010 Yearbook!
The premise here is that we’re taking a look back on the notable events of the past 9 months or so as though Marvel and DC were one gigantic high school… full of… 30 year-old dudes. Okay, okay, it’s kind of esoteric, but just go read, and enjoy the Sentry’s Senior Quote, which represents the apex of my comedy writing career.
First of Three?! Sweet Christmas!
`Seconding Wrye. Two more of these? You’re spoiling us, Mr. Sims.
I wouldn’t mind watching Sarah Palin going Rouge, if you know what I mean. Wink, wink. Nudge, nudge.
That’s the only one of that format. We’ve got the rest of the yearbook to deal with.
batman’s reaction to the the kid in that museum photo has me in stitches.
This is stone cold AWESOME.
Oh man. Thor’s comment is awesome.
Is that an Order of the Stick joke I see for Hope Summers?
You do know that the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor, not the Germans?
Don’t stop him, he’s on a roll.
Is Frank not getting the joke, or mocking the person who didn’t get the joke over on the other site?
It’s funny that there are people over there actually taking exception to the “Barry is boring” dig.
(“How DARE you point out that water is wet…”)
I must be missing a joke, but since when would Captain America mix up Germans and Japanese? Keep in mind I haven’t read a Marvel comic in more than a decade and a half…
It’s a reference to the comedy “Animal House” where a character speaks that very line.
When another character says “Germans?” he’s told “forget it, he’s on a roll,” hence Jacob Levy’s comment.
I must be missing a joke, but since when would Captain America mix up Germans and Japanese? Keep in mind I haven’t read a Marvel comic in more than a decade and a half…
Were you alive more than a decade and a half ago? If you were and you’ve yet to see this, then you have my sincerest pity.
