Wrestler Wisdom Fridays #21

Each week, the ISB endeavors to enlighten our readers by offering the unedited words of the Warrior Scholars of the squared circle, for who among us cannot benefit from the wisdom of Macho Madness, Hulkamania, or the American Dream? The instruction we offer should be considered carefully, meditated on, and applied to one’s own life for the enrichment of the self and others.

  1. That is a yes/no question, possibly a rhetorical question, but a trick question it is not.

  2. The Freebirds were probably my first non football heroes (I had a giant poster of them right next to my Baltimore Colts poster). Years later while I was working for a car rental company at BWI airport, the Superstars came through the terminal. This is when Michael Hayes was managing the Hardy Boys, for a point of reference. Well, Michael needed a car because Budget wouldn’t accept check cards, and even though we were overbooked, I got him a luxury car (at the compact rate). He gave me 12 tickets to the match that night (right at the railing by the ring and the entrance ramp)!

    /Michael Hayes will always be awesome to me.
    //cool story, bro
