Ask Chris #24: Strange Sports Stories and Celebrity Comics

It’s that time again! This week, my comics culture Q&A column takes on the best football story in comics and finally susses out which celebrity-themed book is actually worth your time.

So hey, how about some purchasin’ links?

There! Now, the circle of capitalism can begin anew, as I tell you about good things, you purchase them, and I get rewarded for my troubles. Enjoy!

  1. Hey, you young punks don’t remember the Filmation Archie cartoons of the 60’s and early 70’s. Go watch that on the youtubes and then dare complain to me.

BTW, you coulda mentioned Samuel L Mofo Jackson has a comic out. I wish someone could describe it for me, because I’m kinda afraid to go near it. All the yelling, you see. . . .

  2. If Adam Warock is so determined to do comic inspired raps he needs to do one that samples Jughead’s “Sugar, Sugar” rap.

  3. Ummm. Best football story. Amazing Spider-Man #151 (or thereabouts). Len Wein, Ross Andru. Trust me.

  4. dear lord, not only did Jane Wiedlin comment on your article, but she signed it “live long and prosper.”

    I may be in love.
