Why Everyone Should (Legally) Download Chase

If there’s one thing digital distribution is tailor made for, it’s taking advantage of one of DC and Marvel’s greatest strengths: 70 years of back catalog, a whole lot of which has never actually been reprinted. Now, they’re making a pretty good step towards that by releasing Chase digitally through ComiXology, which is why I’ve got an overview of the series that shows just how revolutionary it was, today at ComicsAlliance!

  1. *bing*! I’d never made the connection between CHASE and Bendis and Powers, but now that you mention it… I’d at least like to think that he and Oeming are fans of the series.

At any rate, a great recommendation; I re-read my back issues of CHASE every couple of years. Love the supporting cast (most of them family and non-supers.)

  2. Do you see that guy in the lower right corner? His name is “The Word” and except for here and that years Secret Files and Origins, he appears nowhwere else! Still at the time I was driven mad about what the deal with this guy was? Was he a villain, a hero? Did he work for Bones or the DC editors?
Good pick definitely, and as mentioned elsewhere in the comments, what a great time that was to get your new books. Chase, Preacher, Starman, Chronos, Hourman…. None of them mainstream, yet all fantastic!
