Chris vs. Previews: April 2010

A new month brings a new Previews catalog, and with it comes an extra-sized installment of Chris vs. Previews!

There wasn’t a lot of merch that caught my eye this time around, but there were plenty of comics to talk about, mostly owing to the fact that DC’s got more interesting solicitations than they’ve had in a year and the discovery of a true class act by Hack Slash creator (and former GI Joe artist) Tim Seeley. Enjoy!

  1. Patton Oswalt also wrote a (text-only) Goon story in the back of one of the trade collections, and it was great. The man can write, and he clearly loves comics. Agreed that the Firefly comics to date have been pretty lame, though…hopefully this turns it around.

I suspect the sudden resurgence of Batman Beyond is part of the movement towards family-friendliness at the big two.
