I may not have been one of the enlightened few who read Super-Villain Team-Up: MODOK’s 11 in singles but I got the trade last year and lo, it was awesome. I was actually thinking a lot about it at work today and its been at least three months since I last read it.
I really don’t know why Francis Portela doesn’t get higher profile gigs at Marvel.
“Tarletonian” is my new favorite word. And I never get tired of that cover picture from SVTU:M11.
I want all of those Silver Age stories Jess Nevins mentioned in a trade, now. I also picked up SVTU in trade and enjoyed it immensely. Of course, that is at least partially because I am predisposed to like anything that features Rocket Racer and Puma in a team. But it was mostly Van Lente and MODOK (and speaking of which, I need to read BLOGDOK right damn now).
