So did you guys know that there was a video game based on the Ultraverse’s answer to Captain Marvel, Prime, that was planned for release on the Super NES but only ended up coming out on Sega CD? Well, you do now, as I have played through the ROM for your amusement, chronicling the overmuscled hero’s battle against tiny luchabombers and horrifying tentacle fiends.

A word of advice if you’re planning on playing it yourself: You hit a point where the game just up and stops (it was never finished) with Prime flying endlessly down a freeway and never getting anywhere, but as it comes at just about the point where you’re sick of hitting the Y button over and over and over again, it works pretty well as a metaphor for ’90s comics.
