Wrestler Wisdom Fridays #10

Each week, the ISB endeavors to enlighten our readers by offering the unedited words of the Warrior Scholars of the squared circle, for who among us cannot benefit from the wisdom of Macho Madness, Hulkamania, or the American Dream? The instruction we offer should be considered carefully, meditated on, and applied to one’s own life for the enrichment of the self and others.

  1. And his “retirement” from the ring, after all the hype, lasted less than two years. Woooo!

  2. I can’t believe TNA is putting him back in. Ok, sure, he’s likely 150% more capable still than broken down wrecks like Nash or Hogan. But he’s like a bazillion years old…

  3. @Lurkerwithout: I know it’s slightly disheartening to see childhood icons reduced to bumbling old men barely able to fall over on cue, but what do we EXPECT them to do with their retirement? Wait around to get beaten up by random family members or give impromptu press conferences telling the world how easy it would be to stab their ex-wives and get away with it while lesser mortals like myself try to figure out which one’s the daughter and which one’s the girlfriend?

    Freakshows belong on television.

  4. Well, I just wonder how many philosophers, politicians, and other notable public speakers would’ve added emphasis to their argument, as well as gained more credibility, by finishing their delivery with three or four steps followed by a full-length face plant.
