Wrestling Move or Comic Book Character?

Today at ComicsAlliance, I’m celebrating the release of WWE Heroes #2 with a curious coincidence that’s has led me to pose a question to the readers: Is this a comic book character or a wrestling move?

Surely my readers, who have been educated in the ways of Wrestler Wisdom should be able to do pretty well on this one, so saddle up and let me know if you think the Glimmering Warlock first appeared in More Fun Comics or New Japan Pro!

  1. I got one wrong. And I am such a comic book. wrestling geek I am actually to have missed that one. I’d never heard of the Persuader and I thought maybe it sounded like a move one of the Chikara guys might use.

  2. A perfect 25! :-D

btw, “Stunner” was also the name of a mid-90s Spider-Man villain, iirc- a leggy blonde who worked for the Rose.

  3. *sees Rick Flair giving a Figure Four leg lock*

    Oh you. :D

Never thought I’d find use for my comic AND wrestling knowledge at the same time! You make the impossible possible Mr. Sims!

  4. @Karsten, Stunner didn’t really work FOR the Rose. She was a free agent and Doc Ock’s squeeze. She teamed up with the Rose and Lady Ock to resurrect the Doc, giving up her own life in the process.

  5. I so dearly want a funnybook character named Spanish Fly. Who do you think will use it first, Chaykin or Millar?
