Wrestler Wisdom Fridays #22

Each week, the ISB endeavors to enlighten our readers by offering the unedited words of the Warrior Scholars of the squared circle, for who among us cannot benefit from the wisdom of Macho Madness, Hulkamania, or the American Dream? The instruction we offer should be considered carefully, meditated on, and applied to one’s own life for the enrichment of the self and others.

  1. I’m a bit confused as to where this nugget of wisdom comes from. It kind of looks like the stint Steve Austin did on ECW (when it was an independent promotion– and entertaining) where he did a kind of poor man’s Lewis Black and mock WWE and WCW (I seem to remember that he sat at a table and wore a jacket and bad wig). Am I correct in thinking that’s what this one is?

  2. Correct you are, Scott. This was “Stunning” Steve Austin doing his impression of hated ex-WCW boss, Eric Bischoff. He never did mock WWE, though, as he was lobbying for a job there at the time once his “No Compete Clause” with WCW was up…

    THE MORE YOU KNOW…Dun-DUN-Dun…

  3. Ah, yes. “Stunning” Steve Austin. One of the Hollywood Blonds (well, one of the tag teams that used that name). It’s weird to think he became “Stone Cold” Steve Austin.

The funny thing is, if you look at the photo he kind of looks like Paul McCartney. Okay, Sir Paul strung out from lack of sleep and/or drugs, but still…
