Wrestler Wisdom Fridays #27

Each week, the ISB endeavors to enlighten our readers by offering the unedited words of the Warrior Scholars of the squared circle, for who among us cannot benefit from the wisdom of Macho Madness, Hulkamania, or the American Dream? The instruction we offer should be considered carefully, meditated on, and applied to one’s own life for the enrichment of the self and others.

  1. As someone who knows absolutely nothing about wrestling in any form (well, I did used to do judo, don’t know if that counts) I have to thank you for doing these. Every Friday, I can just stare with a song in my heart at the utterly contextless, glorious, incoherence.

  2. God bless Handsome Harley Race! A great worker and a truly classy gentleman!

  3. Harley Race don’t need no permission. The man’s mutton chops, on the other hand….

Suggestion: The Warrior / Hogan / Santana promo from Survivor Series 1990. How do you make Warrior and Hogan make less sense? Have them cut a promo AFTER working a match. Poor Tito just says his piece and then gets the hell out of the way of the nonstop storm of crazy.

(Assuming that it wasn’t just taped months ahead of time, but in this case I’m inclined to doubt it.)
