  1. CHRIS!! Totally off topic….SORRY…!! I saw The Dark Knight this evening and I’m all juiced up on GEEK JOY and I have to share the good news!! THAT MOVIE IS INCREDIBLE. I have to go spread the word!! Travis AWWWWWWAAAAAAAAYYYYY….!!!!

  2. Luckily for Superman, Jerome just set out Mr. Day’s supper, so he’s too busy to fight. I’m not saying he’d kick Superman’s ass or anything, I’m just saying that if Superman were in Purple Rain, Morris would have gone home with Apollonia AND Kara.

  3. I heard that Kandor wasn’t actually stolen; instead, “B-Boy” Brainiac won it in a dance-off.

Who knew that a robot not only had the moves, but the heart?

  4. Does this make Superman Blue’s new code-name Electric Boogaloo?

    Please say yes.

  5. It’s time! It’s Vader time!

Only you could combine my love of DC comics, Supergirl, rap, AND pro wrestling all into one awesome panel.

You sir, are a hero to our generation. A living legend.

  6. No! Noooooooo! Not fair! I have Vader’s theme song and Summertime stuck in my head all at once!

    “It’s time…it’s time…it’s…summer summer summertime.”

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

  7. Where I live, it’s always Vader time. As a consequence, I’ve lost a big chunk of my ear, but hey, it worked for Mick Foley, right?

  8. Its ALWAYS VADER TIME!

What do you think box on his chest is for? Bustin’ out mad beats – anytime, anyplace.

  9. where do you find that silver age comic book font?

    Font? Those are hand-lettered.

No, that was a lie. I used a font called OdaBalloon, which is based on Silver Age letterer Ben Oda, one of the original masters of comic book lettering.

To offer a few technical details that nobody gives a crap about, I chopped and screwed with it a bit for this post, using Bold and then applying faux-Bold and faux-Italics in Photoshop as needed, as well as adjusting the font’s way-too-big line separation to make it look a little more authentic. Which isn’t perfect or anything, but I think it looks about all right.

That’s a different Vader. This post is compliant with the ISB No Star Wars Rule of 2005.

  10. Not a single mention of Joss Whedon’s ‘Dr Horrible’s Sing-A-Long Blog’ anywhere? Wow. This thing is right up the alley of ISB fans, I would uphold. It is the story of a mad scientist (Neil Patrick Harris) who seeks to win the love of a girl he meets at the laundromat (Felicia Day), by taking over the world with his time-freezing ray, and his struggles against his heroic nemesis, Captain Hammer (Nathan Fillion). All this, while seeking membership in the Evil League of Evil, lead by the truly terrifying Bad Horse.

    And it’s a musical.

Check it out, it’s free until sunday only (part 3 coming out saturday).
