Today at ComicsAlliance, I’m more or less continuing the series I started last week with my article on Spider-Man: Rock Reflections of a Super-Hero by taking a look (and listen) at four strange and wonderful songs about the Batman.
There are others, of course, but for me, these represent the three highlights of late-’60s Batmania, with the fourth (from pal Rachelle) rounding out the list as my favorite bat-related song. Enjoy!
Awesome. Another polite suggestion (as oppossed to “OMG you forgot song X ure so retarded”) is “Batman and Robin” by Snoop Dogg, produced by DJ Premier and sampling the 1960s Batman theme.
One of my present geek missions is to put together a Superhero mixtape. I’ve got a good playlist on Spotify, wish I knew how to mix now….
From Boy Wonder, I Love You:
Brilliant.
Burt Ward? Frank Zappa? Milton DeLugg??!!!
I feel like the cast of Planetary on Island Zero.
You left out the songs from the Jim Stienman/Tim Burton Batman Musical, several of them were on Meat Loaf’s Bat out of Hell 3 album
At one point some demos of a number of the songs were floating around the Steinman fan sites.
