The Gotham City Mixtape

Today at ComicsAlliance, I’m more or less continuing the series I started last week with my article on Spider-Man: Rock Reflections of a Super-Hero by taking a look (and listen) at four strange and wonderful songs about the Batman.

There are others, of course, but for me, these represent the three highlights of late-’60s Batmania, with the fourth (from pal Rachelle) rounding out the list as my favorite bat-related song. Enjoy!

  1. Awesome. Another polite suggestion (as oppossed to “OMG you forgot song X ure so retarded”) is “Batman and Robin” by Snoop Dogg, produced by DJ Premier and sampling the 1960s Batman theme.

One of my present geek missions is to put together a Superhero mixtape. I’ve got a good playlist on Spotify, wish I knew how to mix now….

  2. From Boy Wonder, I Love You:

I will feed you breakfast in bed. I will make your bed for you. And I like you so much, that I want you to spend the whole summer with me. I hope you know this is a girl writing.

    Brilliant.

  3. Burt Ward? Frank Zappa? Milton DeLugg??!!!

I feel like the cast of Planetary on Island Zero.
