If you’ve got your fingers on the pulse of the webcomics community, then odds are that you’re already familiar with Curt Franklin and Chris Haley’s Let’s Be Friends Again, and if you’re not, then by all means click over there and get to it. It’s a great strip and it’s quickly become one of my favorites, thanks largely to stuff like this:
So needless to say, I was excited when Chris Haley responded to my request for a pin-up for the Action Age (delivered via my usual editorial style of yelling on Twitter until someone does something) and delivered an amazing, Mignola-esque Monster Plus piece!
Click over to the Action Age to check it out, and then seriously, catch up on LBFA, for all your terrifying Tyler Perry needs.
I was staring at that Tyler Perry strip trying to figure out what it reminded me of, when it hit me: The Critic! The character design, at least. Funny stuff.
Just wanted to say I’m a first-time commenter, long-time subscriber. Your blog is damn funny all the damn time. Well done. It has even inspired me to come with my own. Of course, I envy your design job (I don’t know #@%! about design). This is also one of the coolest looking ones online. That’s it. Just wanted to finally commend the exemplary job you continue to do.
Chris
To be honest, the ISB just uses a stock template with some minor tweaking courtesy of a friend of mine, Shane Bailey.
Okay, between the content and the comments there are far too many Chrises involved with this post.
Thanks for introducing me to this strip. Not sure how it escaped notice previously.
The pin-up rocked and the Tyler Perry strip rocked. I have been double-rocked.
(and before you say anything I’m working on it boss!)
OH WE HAVE TIME TO ANTICIPATE MY STATEMENTS, DO WE?!
I am purloining those two Spider-Man 3 gif.s off of their home page right now!
THANK YOU for introducing me to Let’s Be Friends Again! Hilarious stuff!
