War Rocket Ajax #169: I’m Dr. Comics With Brian Clevinger

Ajax169

This week on War Rocket Ajax, the angular-faced Brian Clevinger returns to the show to talk about his Kickstarter and explain why he doesn’t follow me on Twitter. I can assure you, his reasons are entirely unsatisfactory, but we also get some interesting stories about what it was like to work at a comic book store right when he was breaking out with Atomic Robo.

Plus, we talk about pen-and-paper roleplaying games and dissect the message of Batman Incorporated #13! It’s the nerdiest show we’ve ever done.

Show Notes:

Check out the Atomic Robo Tesladyne Recruitment Drive Kickstarter! They didn’t just ask you for money, there are actual products!

Follow Brian on Twitter, and make sure to send him the following message: “@bclevinger #WRESTLE” This is his punishment and it will continue until he follows me again.

Follow Atomic Robo co-creator Scott Wegener on Twitter, too. I don’t think he follows me either, but he at least has reasons for it.

How am I the last person in the world to hear about this?

In case you missed ’em, we watched Miami Connection, No Holds Barred and more at Movie Fighters!

Check out our friendly sponsors who make Ajax happen, Valiant Comics and Comixology! Go get some comics!

War Rocket Ajax #161: Farm Stuff At HeroesCon

Ajax161

This week on War Rocket Ajax, we recorded live on the floor of HeroesCon 2013 (on Matt’s birthday, no less!) with a cast of thousands hundreds dozens eighteen! We went around asking friends of the show like Matt Fraction, Kelly Sue DeConnick, Tom Fowler, Ming Doyle and more a simple question: “What was one thing you’ve seen at a convention that left you speechless?”

The results, as you might expect, veer wildly between heartwarming and horrifying, and you can listen to it all right here.
