wow, and here i thought i was the only person under fifty who knew the Lucky Strikes “LSMFT†phrase
I listen to a lot of Jack Benny.
Lucky Strike? Really.
Everyone knows that the best detectives only smoke Fatima cigarettes. Sherlock Holmes. Joe Friday. It’s the long cigarette that they know you’ll enjoy as much as they do.
Taking cues from Ollie, Bruce took on a temporary sidekick, Smokey, a close pal of lil’ Roy Harper. Smokey introduced Bruce to some special “tobacco” he had discovered while vacationing on the exotic vacation paradise, the island of Kooey Kooey. After partaking regularly of the mysterious green weed’s fumes which seemed to provide miraculous assistance with the piecing together of seemingly unrelated clues, Bruce came to the conclusion that there was a semi-permanent hallucinogenic effect. This was brought to his attention by his faithful butler, Alfred Pennyworth, after one too many cases involved bizarre extraterrestrial encounters and magical imps. Smokey was given his walking papers, and moved in with Roy Harper, who soon came to be known as Speedy soon after. The last time anyone saw Smokey, he was boarding a Greyhound headed for San Francisco sporting what looked to be a nasty shiner after a stern “talking to” by Ollie and Hal Jordan.
Y’know, Chris… sometimes, I really wish you had an edit feature for the comments section. *sigh*
I… was goin’ to the ‘Cave, but then I got high
Wuz gonna take Selina to a Rave, but then I got high
Hung with Joker & got depraved, and I know why
(WHY?)
Because I got high

I listen to a lot of Jack Benny.
“The makers of Fantastic Cigarettes, long in the leaf and short in the can, bring you another true story from the tattered casebook of… Bruce Wayne, Bat-Detective!
“Let’s join him now in the adventure we call… The Weed of Crime!!!”
Damn right he’s setting a bad example! Doesn’t Bruce know the preferred cigarette for fictional cartoon and comic characters is WINSTON? Just ask Fred and Barney:
Oh, and LSMFT? Don’t they sing “Time To Pretend” and “Electric Feel”?
Oh my God, a Jack Benny reference? And on a Batman comic? Two of my favorite things, together at last!
jazzbo, I take it you don’t know Jack Benny’s secret identity yet then.
Great Scott!
LSMFT: Let’s Smoke Mother-Fucking Tobacco.
As anybody who listens to OTR episodes of Dragnet can tell you, studies have PROVED that Fatima cigarettes show no ill effects on the nose and throat of smokers!
Heh. Those ads are the best reason to listen to those old shows :D
Was that ad created by Sterling-Cooper?
Batman is trying to get lung cancer just to see he can- knowing full well he controls his body at such a level he can kill cancer cells purely by thought.
